She was predeceased by: her parents, Louis Shanley and Mary Shanley (Healy); her husband John; her son Mark Joensen; and her siblings, David Shanley (late Wilma), Marjorie Heck (John), Mary Loiuse Blackley (late Carl), Nancy Albanese (late Dominic) and Carolyn Garafalo (late Mauro).
She is survived by: her daughter Molly Kirchberger (John); her grandchildren, Daniel (Millie), Alex, Ellie Joensen, Kyle, Emily Seitz (John) and Jordan Kirchberger; her great grandchild Lana Molly Seitz; and her sister Jane Coakley (late Raymond). She is also survived by many nieces and nephews and very dear friends.
A funeral Mass was held on Thursday, September 24th 2026 at 10:00 AM at the St. John the Baptist RC Church (168 Chestnut St, Lockport, NY 14094).
Donations to a charity of one's choice would be appreciated by the family.
