He was predeceased by: his parents, Earl Theurer and Mildred Piske Theurer; and his child Kim Richards. He is survived by: his wife Cynthia Theurer; his children, Robert Theurer, Carrie Palmer (James), Kelly Theurer, Kimberly Ricks and Heather Theurer; his grandchildren, Caleb Palmer, Megan Richards, Amanda Richards and William Ricks; and his sister Kathleen Fiore. He is also survived by several nieces and nephews.
