She was predeceased by: her husband Ernest Sims; her parents, Cobert Powers and Harriet Bauer; and her brothers, Charles and Roland Powers.

She is survived by: her daughters, Alexandra Portillo and Charlotte Ellis (Joe); and her siblings, Vanessa Harris (Art), Sherry DuBois (Norm), Kenneth Powers (Jeannette), Star Huth (Kent), Roxanne Powers Kevin Powers (John Novak) and Beth Powers-Ward (Corey). She is also survived by her grandchildren and Great-grandchildren and several nieces and nephews.
