He was predeceased by: his parents, Lawrence VanVleet and Lovina VanVleet (Woodman); his wife Helene Shaner; his former wife Mary Louise Connelly; and his brothers, John and David.
He is survived by: his children, Lawrence VanVleet (Cynde) of California, James VanVleet (Doreen) of Ovid, Marian Schirmer (Patrick) of Ovid, Robert VanVleet (Laura) of Lodi, Beverly Delong (Mark) of Romulus, Daniel VanVleet (Mary-Catherine French) of Lodi, Christopher VanVleet (Marcia) of Massachusetts and Melanie Mansfield (Scott) of Vestal; and his sisters, Harriett Wagner and Ruth Wagner of Lodi. He is also survived by numerous grandchildren, great grandchildren, nieces, and nephews.
In lieu of flowers, contributions in Stanley's memory may be made to the Ovid Federated Church or the Lodi Historical Society.
