He was predeceased by : his parents, Ward L. Saunders, and Julia L. Saunders, Sr. (Lowman); his wife Susan J. Saunders (Comstock); his son Jody Saunders; and his brothers, Jerry and Donny Saunders.

He is survived by : his daughter Tammy Pepin (Jim) of Cohocton, NY; his grandchildren, Kiestin Hoffman (Casey) and Brandon Pepin; his great grandchildren, Blake, Caleb and Haylee Hoffman; and his sisters, Judy Ripley (Jim) and Shirley Gleockner. He is also survived by several nieces and nephews.
