He was predeceased by: his daughter-in-law Karen Bush; his siblings, Margaret Tabolt (Leonard), Lawrence Bush (Wanda), Marie Walters (Verle Sr.), Theresa Birchenough (Maurice), Robert Bush (Beverly) and Christina Thoma (Walter); his brother-in-law Jack Matulewicz; and his parents, Henry Bush and Frances Becker Bush.

He is survived by: his wife Wilma Kiernan; his sons, Virgil Bush (René) of Turin, Jeffrey Bush of Lowville and Gerald Bush (Cathy) of Lowville; his grandchildren, Sarah, Ryan, Tim, Matt (Ariane) and Caleb Bush; his great grandchildren, Danica and Beau; his brother Bernard; his sister-in-law Barbara Bush of Lowville; and his sister Clara Matulewicz of Lowville. He is also survived by several nieces, nephews and cousins.

Visitation was held on Thursday, September 24th 2026 from 11:00 AM to 1:00 PM at the Iseneker Funeral Home, Inc. (5702 Waters Rd, Lowville, NY 13367). A funeral service was held on Thursday, September 24th 2026 at 1:00 PM at the same location. The military honors was held on Thursday, September 24th 2026 at the Castorland Union Cemetery (10291 NY-126, Castorland, NY 13620).
