She was predeceased by: her son Robert James Hipwell; her brother Von Kohler; her parents, Max Kohler and Ann Kohler; and her husband Bruce Johnston.
She is survived by: her grandchildren, Christian Withey (Tara) of Tonawanda, NY and Sovereign Lyman of Kenmore, NY; and her sisters-in-law, Leslie Johnston of Nantucket, MA and Peggy Farrell of Buffalo. She is also survived by nine great-grandchildren.
