He is survived by: his children, Natalie Jean Gottlieb (Adam), Keith Richard Staples, Edward Thomas Carroll (Stephanie) and Brian Peter Carroll (Andrea); his grandchildren, Joseph Ryan Staples, Isabella Rose Staples, Gillian Celia Gottlieb, Noelle Rebekah Staples, Olivia Marie Gottlieb, Daniel Brian Carroll, Jake Edward Carroll, Benjamin Andrew Carroll and Aubrey Brooke Carroll6; and his siblings, Christopher Carroll (Debbie), Clare Bertoli (Larry), Anne Kelly (Owen), Patricia "Patty" Morrone (Tony), James "Jimmy" Carroll (Donna) and Doris "Dar" Maiorino (Ronnie).

Viewing was held on Saturday, August 22nd 2026 from 3:00 PM to 7:00 PM at the Powell Funeral Home (67 Broadway, Amityville, NY 11701). A funeral Mass was held on Monday, August 24th 2026 at 9:30 AM at the St. Martain of Tours R. C. Church (37 Union Ave, Amityville, NY 11701). The military honors was held on Monday, August 24th 2026 at 11:30 AM at the Calverton National Cemetery (210 Princeton Blvd, Calverton, NY 11933).
