He was predeceased by: his parents, Theresa Cavanagh, (Dobrocky) and John Martin Cavanagh, Sr. (Jack); and his stepmother Dorothea Cavanagh. He is survived by: his son John Michael Cavanagh; and his son-in-law Frank Krumrie.
Visitation was held on Monday, October 26th 2026 from 10:00 AM to 10:30 AM at the Flinch & Bruns Funeral Home, Inc. (34 Hempstead Ave, Lynbrook, NY 11563). A funeral service was held on Monday, October 26th 2026 at 10:30 AM at the same location. A burial was held on Monday, October 26th 2026 at 12:30 PM at the Calverton National Cemetery (210 Princeton Blvd, Calverton, NY 11933).
