She was loved and cherished by many people including: her parents, Earl and Margaret; her significant other Forrest Aker (Skip); her sister Denise; her sons, Steven and Jonathan; her daughters-in-law, Debby and Khalie; and her grandchildren, Aidan, Daphne, Keira and Evaline.
In lieu of flowers, all those looking to contribute to Karen's memory are encouraged to make a donation in her name to either of these organizations: Alzheimer's Association or the NAACP.
