He was predeceased by: his parents, Clifford James and Freida Anna Cayea (Davis); and his siblings, Roger, John "Pug", Fred "Peanut", Clifford "Bill", Floyd Cayea, Jeannette Miller, Lucille "Lou" Ducharme and Arlene Johnson.
He is survived by: his son Daniel Patrick; his daughter-in-law Nicole Ann Cayea (Eichler); and his siblings, Jeanne-Anne Cayea, Donald "Joe" Cayea (Lorelee LaBombard), Anthony "Tony" Cayea (Alice) and Mary-Louise Murtha (Timothy). He is also survived by many nieces and nephews and very close friends.
In lieu of flowers, donations in Patrick's memory may be made to the American Cancer Society or the Fitzpatrick Cancer Center at CVPH, Plattsburgh.
