She was predeceased by: her husband Werter J. Cooney, Jr.; her son Michael James Cooney; her parents, Ralph O. Gansz and Daisy M. Fellows (Palmer); her aunt Viola Mae; her uncle Fred R. Gansz of Savannah; and her siblings, Fred Fellows, Warner, G. Steven Fellows, Ray Gansz and Viola Gansz Bliss.
She is survived by: her sons, Brian Cooney (Laura) and Jeffrey Cooney (Tiffany); her grandchildren, Lee Cooney and Jacob Cooney; her brother Charles Gansz (Jean); her nieces and nephews, Donna Jones (Stan), Lynn McKinney (Danny), Tom Fellows (Sue), Larry Gansz (Ronda), Alan Gansz (Michelle), Donald Finewood, Jr. (Valerie) and Thomas Finewood; and her pet Abi. She is also survived by cousins, dear friends.
Visitation was held on Friday, October 30th 2026 at 10:00 AM at the Weeks-Keysor Funeral Home (5 Phelps St, Lyons, NY 14489). A funeral service was held on Friday, October 30th 2026 at 12:00 PM at the same location.
