He was predeceased by: his parents, Hugh Matteson and Edith Matteson of Maine; his wife Nancy Riggleman (Virginia); his brother Richard; his sister-in-law Virginia Matteson; his sister Dawn Melvin; and his brother-in-law Ronald Wuethrich.
He is survived by: his children, Bruce Matteson of Lowell and Jody; his son-in-law John Scoones of Deansboro; his son Kevin; his daughter-in-law Veronica Matteson of Deansboro; his grandchildren, Nicholas, Jessica, Andrew (Ashely), Rachael Scoones and Marissa Rice; his great grandchild John David Scoones; his siblings-in-law, Norma Wuethrich and John Melvin; and his sister Sharon Scott. He is also survived by numerous nieces, nephew, beloved close friends.
