She was predeceased by : her father Llyod Abbott; her husband Oliver R. VanPelt; her grandson Justin Steiger; her brother Curry Abbott; and her nephews, Vernon Abbott and Kenneth R. Abbott, Jr..
She is survived by : her children, James Abbott (Jamie) of Hornell, John Steiger of Elmira, Joseph Steiger of Redbank, NJ and Wanda Miller (Eric) of New Brunswick, NJ; and her siblings, Lloyd Abbott of Mass, Kenneth Abbott, Sr. of Neptune, N. J., William Abbott of Campbell, Edward Abbott, Sr. (Shirley) of Hornell, John Abbott of Hornell, Cleveland Abbott, Sr. of Campbell and Hope Phillips of Elmira. She is also survived by several grandchildren and great-grandchildren.
