It is with great sadness that we announce the death of Melody Marie Akins of Madison, New York, born in Canastota, New York, who passed away on March 25, 2024, at the age of 63, leaving to mourn family and friends. Family and friends are welcome to leave their condolences on this memorial page and share them with the family.
She was predeceased by : her parents, Milford Lovett and Beverly Lovett (Williamson); and her daughter Jennifer Akins. She is survived by : her husband James M. Akins; her children, Jessica Clark, Janette Merriman (Amanda) and James Akins (Kayla); her sister Melissa Lovett; her grandchildren, Preston, Spencer, Connor, Andrew, Lily, Alec, Dakota, Clayton, Abigail, Kaitlyn and Trevor; and her siblings-in-law, Joyce Makenzie (Bert), Uriah Pittman, Joseph Pittman and Alan Pittman.
