He was loved and cherished by many people including: his parents, Ervine Holmes and Irene Holmes (Stout); his wife Joan Gugino; his daughters, Gwen Burke, Pam Loscher (Chris) and Stephany Holmes (Ed Winegard); his grandchildren, Krista, Johnny, Jessica Burke, Jack, Daniel, Haley, Tyler (Becky), Chris Loscher (Peter Beaumont), Elijah, Annalese and MacGregor Winegard; and his great grandchild Lucy Loscher.
