He was predeceased by: his parents, Robert Ortiz and Consuelo Macaya Ortiz; and his brother Robert. He is survived by: his daughters, Susan Kallmeyer (Keith) of Mahopac and Donna Aquilino (Jerry) of Mahopac; his grandchildren, Danielle (Tully), Michael (Tara), Jeremy, Nina, Zach (Samantha) and Cooper; his great grandchildren, Cameron, Beckett, Quinn, Luna, Caleb and Zane; and his siblings, Edward, George, Richard Ortiz and Ida Matta.
Visitation was held on Wednesday, October 28th 2026 from 3:00 PM to 7:00 PM at the Joseph J. Smith Funeral Home, Inc. (692 US-6, Mahopac, NY 10541). A funeral service was held on Thursday, October 29th 2026 at 10:00 AM at the same location. A burial was held on Thursday, October 29th 2026 at the Rose Hills Memorial Park (100 Mill St, Putnam Valley, NY 10579).
