The memory of Joseph Paul Basli (Mahopac, New York), born in Yonkers, New York, who passed away on November 29, 2025 at the age of 77, will forever remain in the hearts of those touched by this precious presence in their lives. In the sacred silence of farewell, Joseph is released into the embrace of eternity, knowing that his light will continue to shine brightly in the tapestry of the lives of his loved ones. And as his memory is carried forward, may comfort be found in the knowledge that love is eternal, and that Joseph's spirit lives on in the beauty that surrounds us.
He is survived by: his wife Karen; his son Scott; his daughter-in-law Susie; and his brother Robert (Marla). He is also survived by several loving nieces, nephews and grand nieces and nephews.
Visitation will be held on Monday, December 8th 2025 from 4:00 PM to 7:00 PM at the Joseph J. Smith Funeral Home, Inc. (692 US-6, Mahopac, NY 10541). A funeral service will be held on Tuesday, December 9th 2025 at 11:00 AM at the same location. A burial will be held on Tuesday, December 9th 2025 at the Union Valley Cemetery.
