He is survived by: his wife Edith DeRonda; his daughters, Roseanna Bates, Nancy Bates and Kimberly Matias (Anthony); his daughters-in-law, Janet Bates and Charlotte Bates; and his sons, Jonathan (Jessica), Patrick (Anita) and Larry (Kris). He is also survived by 16 grandchildren and 14 great-grandchildren.
