She was predeceased by: her parents, Bill VanSlyck and Bridie VanSlyck; and her son Luke Rathschmidt. She is survived by: her husband James Rathschmidt; and her children, Denise Iarussi (Dan), Kathy Moberg (Robert), Michael Kelly (Jen), Tracy Barrows (Michael), James Rathschmidt and Teresa Reuter (Brian). She is also survived by her many nieces, nephews, extended family, and dear friends.

Visitation was held on Wednesday, July 16th 2025 from 2:00 PM to 8:00 PM at the Joseph J. Smith Funeral Home, Inc. (692 US-6, Mahopac, NY 10541). A funeral Mass was held on Thursday, July 17th 2025 at 10:00 AM at the St. John the Evangelist Church (221 E Lake Blvd, Mahopac, NY 10541).
