Patricia Schaefer Obituary
We announce the death of Patricia Schaefer (Mahopac, New York), who passed away on August 21, 2026, at the age of 75. She was predeceased by: her parents, Matthew H. Russell and Florence M. Russell (Brand); her sisters, Maureen D. Russell Dalton, Catherine Russell and Frances Russell; and her sister-in-law Winifred Schaefer.
She is survived by: her husband Henry Schaefer; her children, Henry G. Schaefer Jr. (Noreen), Matthew Schaefer (Colleen) and Dawn Ann Schaefer; her grandchildren, Julia, Maeve and Mairead; her sister Marilyn J. Russell McMahan (Michael McMahan); her nieces and nephews, Michael, Philomena, Kate, Jack, Daryl, Meghan, Brian, Cory, Julie and Leslie; and her siblings-in-law, John Schaefer (Maryann) and Judy (Michael Sullivan).
Visitation was held on Thursday, August 27th 2026 from 3:00 PM to 7:00 PM at the Cargain Funeral Home (418 US-6, Mahopac, NY 10541). A Mass of Christian burial was held on Friday, August 28th 2026 at 10:00 AM at the St. John the Evangelist Church (221 E Lake Blvd, Mahopac, NY 10541).
