He was predeceased by : his parents, Rolando Colasante and Loretta Colasante (Ceru); and his sister Joan Kuss. He is survived by : his wife Bonnie Christensen of Ann's Roman Catholic Church; his children, Lori Betancourt (Rick), Dana Castrataro (James), Tami Meaney (Brian) and Craig Colasante (Danielle); and his grandchildren, Michaela (Kris), Ryan, Cooper, Brenna, Jamison, Tyler, Quinn, Lexie, Peyton, Delaney and Mason.

Visitation was held on Thursday, April 18th 2024 from 1:00 PM to 3:00 PM and from 6:00 PM to 8:00 PM at the Joseph J. Smith Funeral Home, Inc. (692 US-6, Mahopac, NY 10541). A funeral Mass was held on Friday, April 19th 2024 at 10:00 AM at the St. James the Apostle Church (14 Gleneida Ave, Carmel Hamlet, NY 10512).
