Brenda will be remembered for the time spent with loved ones and the moments that brought joy to those around her. Friends and family will honor Brenda by reflecting on shared memories and the positive influence she had in their lives. Though Brenda is no longer present, the bonds she created and the experiences shared will endure. Brenda’s memory will continue to be a source of comfort for all who knew her.
She was predeceased by: her parents, James Chatland and Dena Chatland (Henault); her brother-in-law Dennis Lewis; and her niece Heidi Smith. She is survived by: her siblings, David (Janice), Samuel (Anna), Thomas Chatland (Marlea), Donna Lewis, Constance Lewis (John) and Deborah Edmonds (Roland). She is also survived by 17 nieces and nephews, several grandnieces, grandnephews, great-grandnieces, and great-grandnephews, as well as many beloved cousins.
A funeral service will be held on Saturday, October 10th 2026 at 11:00 AM at the St. Mark's Episcopal Church (34 Elm St, Malone, NY 12953).
