He was predeceased by : his parents, Leo Tavernier and Oriana Dumas Tavernier; his sister Patricia; his stepmother Blanche Dumas Tavernier; and his stepbrothers, Gary and John Dumas.

He is survived by : his brother Wayne (Pat Tavernier); his niece Jamie Tavernier; his nephew Andrew (Jamie Tavernier); his cousins, Jane, Dianne and Sheila; his stepsister Victoria Dumas Doughty; his sister-in-law Emily Dumas; and also Hayden. He is also survived by family, as well as many cousins.
