It is with deep sorrow that we announce the death of Gerald Joseph LaHart of Malone, New York, who passed away on December 31, 2025, at the age of 96, leaving to mourn family and friends. He was predeceased by: his parents, Henry LaHart and Anna LaHart; his grandparents, Eugene, Salinda LaHart, Patrick and Mary Anne Murphy; and his siblings, James LaHart (Baltimore), Robert (Patricia) and Kathleen (Kenneth) Stowell (N. Syracuse).

He is survived by: his wife Betty LaHart of Malone; his children, Steve LaHart of Suwanee, GA. and Susan LaHart of Malone; his grandchildren, Sarah, Claire and Benjamin Poupore of Malone; and his sister-in-law Jean LaHart of Baltimore, Maryland. He is also survived by many nieces, nephews, and dear friends.

In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions in Jerry's memory may be directed to the American Heart Association or the St. Andre Besette Food Pantry.
