He was predeceased by: his parents, Maynard Vassar and Ada Vassar (Paro); his brother Daniel Vassar; his former wife Nancy Vassar (Deatrick); and his stepdaughter Cassandra J. Tomkiewicz.
He is survived by: his wife Vicki Vassar (Tomkiewicz); his stepson Evan Tomkiewicz; his children, Shannon Vassar and Morgan Elizabeth Kostyk (Kyle); his grandson Elliot Cassandra Kostyk; his sister Gretchen LaDue (Orville); his nieces, Heather Trombly (LaDue) and Kathy LaDue; his sister-in-law Norma Vassar; and his sibling's children, Gerald Vassar, Shelly Beeman (Vassar) and Travis Vassar.
A Mass of Christian burial will be held on Friday, October 10th 2025 at 11:00 AM at the Sacred Heart Church (27 Church St, Chazy, NY 12921).
