He was predeceased by: his parents, Ferdinando Murgida and Giovanna Murgida; his sisters, Patsy Murgida and Caterina Murgida; and his brother-in-law Dominic Vaccaro.
He is survived by: his wife Rosina "Rose" Murgida; and his son John Murgida.
Visitation was held on Tuesday, September 1st 2026 from 4:00 PM to 8:00 PM at the Coxe & Graziano Funeral Home (767 E Boston Post Rd, Mamaroneck, NY 10543). A funeral Mass was held on Wednesday, September 2nd 2026 at 10:00 AM at the St. Gregory the Great R. C. Church (215 Halstead Ave, Harrison, NY 10528). An entombment was held on Wednesday, September 2nd 2026 at the Ferncliff Cemetery (280 Secor Rd, Hartsdale, NY 10530).
