Karen Maria Bennett Obituary
Karen Maria Bennett (DelGuidice) of New Rochelle, New York, formerly of Mamaroneck, NY, passed away in the early morning of February 1, 2026, after a brief illness. She was 75 years old.
She grew up in a home filled with love and warmth, where relatives often gathered, shaping the sensitive, kind, and unique woman she became.
She attended Holy Trinity Grammar School and graduated from Mamaroneck High School in 1968. After completing secretarial school, she worked as a receptionist at Loehmann's in White Plains. In the mid-1970s, she began modeling full time for their newspaper advertising , continuing until she became a mother.
There was nothing more important to Karen than her children. She loved and supported them unconditionally, always making sure they knew how deeply they were cherished.
Karen also had a great love for animals and had many dogs and cats that she loved and cared for throughout her life .
Karen's beauty went far beyond her appearance. She was generous, kind, and sensitive.
She is survived by her beloved children, Craig Francis Bennett of Palm Beach, Florida, and Lara Mae Hopkins (Szabolcs Tofalvi) of Calgary, Canada; her former husband, Chuck Bennett, Craig's father and a lifelong friend; and many family members and friends. She continued to honor the memory of Lara's father, David Hopkins.
She was predeceased by her parents, Frank and Mae DelGuidice.
A wake will be held on Friday, March 6, 2026, 5-8pm at Coxe & Grazziano Funeral Home. 767 E. Boston Post Rd, at Mamaroneck, NY, 10543. A Funeral Mass in Karens honor will follow on Saturday, March 7, 2026, at 10am at St. Vito-Most Holy Trinity Church 816 Underhill Ave, Mamaroenck, NY followed by the burial of her ashes at Holy Sepulchre Cemetery, New Rochelle, NY.
Family and close friends are respectfully invited to attend these occasions to gather in prayer and remembrance.
Karen's warmth and energy touched all who knew her. Her inner and outer beauty, along with her deep love for family and friends, will be remembered and cherished.
