She was predeceased by: her parents, Florence E. Larson and John H. Larson; her husband William E. Viklund; and her brother Roger Larson. She is survived by: her children, Mark, David and Andrea (Doherty); her grandchildren, Andrew, Amanda, Mark Jr., Lexie, Kelly and Chloe; her daughters-in-law, Maggie Viklund, Traci Viklund and Nikki; her sister-in-law Patricia Larson; and her nephews, Scott, Matthew and Roddy.

In lieu of flowers, the family kindly requests that donations be made in Joyce's memory to The Cancer Institute at St. Francis Hospital or St. Jude's Children's' Research Hospital.
