He is survived by: his children, Cathryn Bern-Smith (Steven Smith) and Paul Henry Bern (Kimberly Parr); his granddaughter Naomi Parr Bern; his sister Barbara Gordon; his niece Laura Gordon Riebman (Michael); his nephew Stephen Gordon; and his sister-in-law Rosemary (James Howard). He is also survived by cousins, nieces, nephews, grand-nieces, grand-nephews, great-grand-nieces and great-grand-nephews.
