The memory of Barbara J. Phillips of Marathon, New York, who passed away on May 17, 2026 at the age of 89, will forever remain in the hearts of those touched by this precious presence in their lives. She was predeceased by: her parents, Harley Niver and Emma Pease Niver; her husband Leon Phillips; and her brothers, Clayton Niver, Donald Niver, Philip Niver, Robert Niver and Richard Niver.
She is survived by: her children, Deborah Burk (Jim) of Marathon and Steven Phillips (Darlene) of Marathon. She is also survived by 11 great-grandchildren and one great-great-grandchild; three sisters-in-law; several nieces, nephews and cousins.
The family will be present to receive friends at the funeral home on Thursday from 1:00 p.m. until the start of the service at 2:00 p.m. Expressions of sympathy in Barb's memory may be made to a charity of one's choice.
