Beverly Ann Plew Scharwath Obituary
We are sad to announce that, on July 14, 2025, at the age of 88, Beverly Ann Plew Scharwath (Marathon, New York) passed away. Family and friends are welcome to leave their condolences on this memorial page and share them with the family.
She was predeceased by: her parents, Harlow Plew and Dorothy Plew (Robert Scharwath); her sister Phyllis Wood; and her pet Brooke. She is survived by: her sons, James Schumacher (Lois) of Marathon and Jay Andrews (Cheri) of Perkasie; her grandchildren, Tammy Schumacher of Marathon, Jason Schumacher (Scotty) of Cortland, Karen Schumacher of Wasilla, AK, Rachel, Rebecca and Sarah Andrews of Perkasie, PA; her stepgrandchildren, Christian Scharwath and Hailey Scharwath; her siblings, Priscilla Scheller of Fulton, David Plew (Joan) of McGraw, Paul Plew (Pamela) of Valencia and Phillip Plew (Sally) of Florida; Robert Scharwath, Jr. of Illinois. She is also survived by 5 great-grandchildren, 5 great-great-grandchildren, and many nieces and nephews.
In lieu of flowers, we ask that you consider the World Wildlife Fund or any similar organizations that aid in the preservation of the elephant population to honor Beverly's passions.
