She is survived by: her children, Michael Root of Marathon, David Root (Carrie) of Chester, SC and Michelle Ryan of Marathon; her grandchildren, Derek Root (MacKenzie), Alexis Smith (Cody), Kendra Root, Ryan Root, Olivia Young (Michael Hunter), Austin Root (Giada), Hunter Root, Nicholas Ryan, Nathan Ryan (Brooke), Noah Ryan, Nolan Ryan and Addison Ryan; her great grandchildren, Harper, Hudson, Dax, Benson, Charlotte and Ellie; and her sisters, Shirley Coffin (William) of Tully and Joyce Oros (Carl) of Sarasota, FL. She is also survived by many nieces, nephews, and cousins.
Joan will be remembered not only for her significant contributions to her profession but more importantly for her deep love of family and friends.
