He was predeceased by: his parents, Bryden Schmidt and Pearl Schmidt; his wife Beverly; and his granddaughter Erin Henderson. He is survived by: his children, George Schmidt, Jr. of Auburn, Brenda Henderson (Mark) of Marietta and Thomas Schmidt (Noreen) of Marcellus; his grandchildren, Matt Henderson (Annie), Barbara Henderson D'Aiutolo and Daniel Schmidt (Stephanie); and his great grandchild Charlotte D'Aiutolo.
