He was predeceased by: his parents, Laurel Springstead (Leader) and Eugene Springstead; his siblings, Elaine Becker and Allen E. Springstead; and his stepgrandson James E. Holmes, Jr..
He is survived by: his wife Muriel Springstead (MacLachlan); his stepdaughter Sue Ellen Holmes (James); his stepgranddaughter Jessica Holmes (Johncarlos); and his siblings, Jill Henry and Steve Springstead.
