We bid farewell to Ray Lewis Swindell of Marcellus, New York, whose journey of life gracefully concluded on May 31, 2025 at the age of 92. Ray touched countless lives with warmth and kindness, leaving behind cherished memories that will forever echo in hearts. Though Ray may no longer walk beside us, his memory will forever be enshrined in the fabric of the lives of those Ray touched, a beacon of light guiding us through the darkness. In his absence, his spirit lives on — a gentle whisper in the breeze, a ray of sunlight on a cloudy day, a reminder that love knows no boundaries.
He was predeceased by: his wife Nina; his parents, Thomas Swindell and Mary Pearce (Dillon); his brother Thomas; and his half-brother Willis.
He is survived by: his son Kevin Swindell (Michele Felice) of Marcellus; his grandson Cason; his sister Elsie Greer of Virginia Beach; and his half-siblings, Bud Swindell (Lori) of Sarasota, FL and Judith Ann Webb (James) of The Woodlands, TX.. He is also survived by several nieces and nephews.
Visitation was held on Tuesday, June 3rd 2025 from 5:00 PM to 7:00 PM at the Plis Funeral Home (33 North St, Marcellus, NY 13108). A burial was held on Wednesday, June 4th 2025 at the Highland Cemetery (4270 New Seneca Turnpike, Marcellus, NY 13108).
