With heavy hearts, we announce the death of Norma E. (Smith) Christiansen of Marcy, New York, who passed away on March 12, 2026 at the age of 91. Family and friends are welcome to leave their condolences on this memorial page and share them with the family.

She was predeceased by: her parents, Walter L. Smith and Laura A. Gates Smith; her husband James F. Christiansen; her son Robert Allen Christiansen; and her siblings, Everett Smith, Elinor Hale and Wayne Smith.

She is survived by: her children, Christine Van Hatten (Thomas), James Michael Christiansen (Jacqueline) and Ronald James Christiansen; her grandchildren, Craig, Cori, Kyle and Kelsey; her great grandchildren, Christopher, Kaylen, Caleb, Layton, Sofia and Cole; her great great grandchildren, Alexander and Amelia; her sister Ellen Kepfer; and her in-laws, Elizabeth Christiansen, Carol Christiansen, Ellen Christiansen, Richard, Mary Christiansen, Joan Marie Sokolowski, Mary Dunham, Peter and Marge Christiansen. She is also survived by many nieces, nephews and cousins.
