It is with great sadness that we announce the death of Marvin C. DeFisher Sr. of Marion, New York, who passed away on May 29, 2025, at the age of 89, leaving to mourn family and friends. He was predeceased by: his parents, Anna DeFisher and William DeFisher; and his siblings, Richard, William DeFisher and Diane Schrader.
He is survived by: his wife Loretta R. DeFisher; his sons, Marvin Jr. DeFisher (Cheryl), Paul DeFisher (Kristen) and Alan DeFisher (Mary); his grandchildren, Suzanna Weser (Matthew), Jacob, Abigail DeFisher, Roxanne Fairman (Kyle), Isaac, Sarah DeFisher, Jennifer DeFisher, Christina Gray (Adam), Nicole DeFisher and Samantha Foti (Anthony); his great grandchildren, Elle, Anna, Ethan Weser, Ivory Fairman, Jonathan, Brianna DeFisher, Parker, Spencer Gray and Amara Foti; his great great grandchild Kinsley DeFisher; and his caregiver Marvin. He is also survived by many nieces, a nephew, and everlasting friends.
A celebration of life will be held on Wednesday, June 4th 2025 at 3:30 PM at the Marion Memorial American Legion (4141 Witherden Rd, Marion, NY 14505).
