She was predeceased by: her parents, John H. Scribner and Gladys Martens Scribner; and her husband Jonathan "Jon" Smith Means. She is survived by: her children, Lorrie Helling, Pam Boerman, Heidi Boerman (Hailu Belihu), Dan Boerman, Tim Boerman (Robin) and Chris Boerman; and her brothers, John "Jack" Scribner and Gary Scribner (Lynda). She is also survived by grandchildren, great-grandchildren and one great-great granddaughter.
