With heavy hearts, we announce the death of Shirley A. Ameele of Marion, New York, who passed away on July 27, 2023. Family and friends are welcome to leave their condolences on this memorial page and share them with the family.
She was predeceased by : her parents, Jacob VanGee and Bertha VanGee; her husband Donald Ameele; her son Barry Ameele; her grandson Christopher Remmel; and her siblings, Willard VanGee, Rodney VanGee, Irene Buyck (VanGee) and Marjorie Haak (VanGee).
She is survived by : her children, Sue Remmel and David Ameele (Diana); her grandsons, Scott Remmel, Michael Ameele (Colleen) and Jeffery Ameele (Kelly); her great grandchildren, Ashley Remmel, Corey Ameele (Richard), Courtney Ameele (Mariah), Logan Ameele and Timothy Stanton (Erica); her great great grandchildren, Grayson Stanton, Hunter Stanton, Ella Stanton and Maverick Ameele; and her siblings, Merle VanGee (Linda), Allan VanGee (Constance) and Melville Ameele. She is also survived by nieces, nephews and friends.
In lieu of flowers, the family has requested donations to the Laurel House Comfort Care Home, 224 Fair St., Newark, NY 14513 in Shirley's memory.
