Patterson; his daughter-in-law Barbara Patterson; his great grandchildren, Daniel Madonia (Christina), James Wagner Jr., Jenna Orapello (Rob), Jordan Wagner, Jesse Patterson, Brooke Patterson, Jaclyn Sampson (Matt), Shelby Carelli (Jon), Jay Patterson (Samantha) and Jerianne Wagner (Liam Chasteen); his granddaughter Burgandy Marie Evans; his former wife Roberta Patterson; and his close friend Mike McClendon.

He is survived by: his sister Barbara Alfano (George Alfano); his wife Vecenzia (Vivian); his children, Joseph Patterson (Jill), Jerry D. Patterson Jr. (Barbara), Eileen Patterson (Mike), Jane E. Culligan (Bill) and Jennifer Gabriel (Jerry); and his grandson-in-law Cody Evans. He is also survived by several cousins, nieces, nephews, great-nieces, and great-nephews.
