She was loved and cherished by many people including: her husband Carlos Mercado; her children, Vanessa Ayata (Mercado) and Carlos Mercado Jr. A; her grandchildren, Carlos Jacob Mercado, Jazlene Soler and Aiden Ayata; her child-in-law Tolga Ayata; and her parents, Felix Acevedo and Illuminda Acevedo. She was also cherished by her husband of 49 years, her two children, her three grandchildren, her son-in-law, her siblings, and her extended family of nieces and nephews.
