He was predeceased by: his mother Helen Eggstein (Gehrke); and his wife Ann. He is survived by: his father Robert Joseph Eggstein, Sr.; his children, Robert III (Sharon G. Eggstein), Richard (Suzanne Domni) and Diane (Kevin Profeta (Diane'); and his grandchildren, Christopher (Olivia) and Mia.
Visitation will be held on Monday, September 28th 2026 from 4:00 PM to 7:00 PM at the Massapequa Funeral Home - South Chapel (4980 Merrick Rd, Massapequa Park, NY 11762). A funeral Mass will be held on Tuesday, September 29th 2026 from 10:00 AM to 11:00 AM at the St. Rose of Lima R. C. Church (2 Bayview Ave, Massapequa, NY 11758). A burial will be held on Tuesday, September 29th 2026 at the Calverton National Cemetery (210 Princeton Blvd, Calverton, NY 11933).
