He was predeceased by: his parents, Thomas Powers and Carrie Powers (LaRock); his daughter Kristen Elizabeth; and his sisters, Marie Ferguson, Donna Stowell and Mildred Powers.
He is survived by: his wife Connie L. Steenberg; his children, Wade Powers of Ogdensburg, Stephanie Powers of Ogdensburg and Danielle Powers (Andrew Aspelund) of Chateaugay; his stepchildren, Shawn Sullivan (Ashley Cox) of Syracuse and Chad Sullivan (Tracey) of Bombay; and his grandchildren, Brayden Phippen (Madison), Zachary, Bryleigh Sullivan, Talliana Rushlow, Chase LaFlair, Logan Legault and Chloe Danes. He is also survived by many nieces and nephews.
In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made in his memory to Hospice of St. Lawrence Valley.
