He was predeceased by: his parents, William Bouchard and Eva Bouchard (LaPlante); his wife Sandra Sargent of Mary's Cathedral; and his brothers, Gerald and Joseph Bouchard.

He is survived by: his children, Michael (Kimberly Bouchard) of Massena, Marlene (Chad LaDuke) of Walworth and Maureen (Anthony Carioggia) of Baldwinsville; his grandchildren, Brett Michael, James Peter Bouchard, Josephine Sargent, Juliana Backus LaDuke, Evan Carioggia and Kyleigh Dailey; his great grandchild Andrea Jean Bouchard; and his brother Donald Bouchard of Ogdensburg. He is also survived by many nieces, nephews, and friends.

In lieu of flowers, those wishing may consider memorial contributions to be made in his memory to Massena Rescue Squad or St. Peter's Parish.

“My uncle Jimmy was a phenomenal person. I can remember when he would visit my home when I was a child. He spent time talking and joking with all the kids in my family. You could tell that he really liked children. When he and my Aunt Sandra had their children, he was the happiest man in the world. He is with Aunt Sandra now, where he would most like to be.”
