He is survived by: his son Douglas; his daughter-in-law Gerrilynn Goad; his granddaughter Alyssa Goad (George Sloan); his great grandchildren, Carter and Cameron; his siblings, Eva Sharlow of Canton, Doris Deshane of Brasher Falls, Melvin Ward (Tracy) of Norwood and Arnold Ward of Winthrop; his sister-in-law Gloria Ward (Bowen); his friend Barry Sullivan; his caregivers, Hope Pickering and Betty Burry; his niece Sue Ward; his sister Joyce Ward; and his siblings-in-law, Lena Ward (Blair), Joyce Ward (Deshane), Josephine Ward (LaBrake) and Donald Deshane. He is also survived by many nieces, nephews and cousins.
Memorial donations may be made in his honor to Hospice of St. Lawrence Valley.
