It is with sadness that the passing of Rita M. Eggleston (Massena, New York) is shared. Rita, born on August 18, 1931, passed away on July 2, 2026. Family and friends are welcome to leave their condolences on this memorial page and share them with the family.
She was predeceased by: her parents, Walter P. Singleton and Mildred Singleton (Gilman); her husband Paul M. Eggleston; her children-in-law, Gary Trippany and Marcia Eggleston; and her siblings, William Singleton, Beverly Singleton, Elaine Trippany and Margaret Robideau.
She is survived by: her children, Michael Eggleston (Roxanne) of Clearwater, Lynn Trippany of Massena, Bruce Eggleston of Massena and Cindy Meldrum (Mark) of Massena; her grandchildren, Cherie, Chris, Jon Eggleston, Patrick, Kristy, Andy Trippany and Chelsea Meldrum; her great grandchildren, Devin Page, Autumn, Thomas, Lexy Eggleston, Kadien Lawrence, Patrick Jr., Matthew, Sarah, Zachary and Henry Trippany; her great great grandchild Eden; and her siblings, Linda Dumas (Bill) of Sharpsburg, Georgia and Vernon Singleton (Lois) of Owego. She is also survived by many nieces and nephews.
In lieu of flowers, those wishing may consider memorial contributions to be made in her memory to Hospice of St. Lawrence Valley.
