He was predeceased by: his mother Delia Abrantes; his stepfather Robert Crotts; his grandparents, Katherine Tarbell and Antonio Abrantes; and his brothers, Ronald "Butch", Jim and Howard Abrantes.
He is survived by: his wife Joan Abrantes; his son Shawn Abrantes; his granddaughters, Joey and Kelsey Abrantes; his brother Jerry Abrantes; Christine Abrantes. He is also survived by several nieces and nephews.
