She was predeceased by: her parents, Jose Rafada and Magdalina Rafada (Oira); her husband David Edward Gardner; her grandson Zachary Gardner; and her brother Danilo Oira.
She is survived by: her children, David "Mike" Gardner (Taylor) of Massena, Cheryl Gardner (Van Alexander) of Massena and Robert Gardner of San Diego; her daughter-in-law Divina Gardner of San Diego; her grandchildren, Michael, Mitchell, Brooke Gardner, Alannah, Laylah, Aliyah Bingham, Taylor White, Quincy McCants, Brannon (Kaelin) and Jenilyn Gardner; her great grandchild Hudson Lazore; and her siblings, Dana Buling, Rebecca Oira and Jesue Oira. She is also survived by many nieces and nephews.
In lieu of flowers, those wishing may consider memorial contributions to be made in her memory to the American Diabetes Association.
