It is with sadness that the passing of Edward J. McGlone of Mattituck, New York is shared. Edward, born on December 27, 1929, passed away on October 2, 2026. Family and friends are welcome to leave their condolences on this memorial page and share them with the family.
He was predeceased by: his daughter Maureen; and his stepsons, Sean and Daniel. He is survived by: his wife Mary; his children, Timothy (Michele), Edward, Thomas, Susan and Michael; his stepchildren, Mary Ann (James), Geraldine (late Vincent), Tara (Timothy), Francis (Cathy), Veronica, James (Amanda), Raymond (Kathleen), Eileen (Dana), Brendan (Julia) and Clare (Dennis); his sister Anne (late Bernie); and his son Bedford Ave. He is also survived by 3 great-grandchildren.
Visitation will be held on Tuesday, October 6th 2026 from 2:00 PM to 4:00 PM and from 7:00 PM to 9:00 PM at the Clair S. Bartholomew & Son, Inc. (302 Bedford Ave, Bellmore, NY 11710). A Mass will be held on Wednesday, October 7th 2026 from 11:15 AM to 12:15 PM at the St. Barnabas R. C. Church (2320 Bedford Ave, Bellmore, NY 11710). A burial will be held on Wednesday, October 7th 2026 from 1:00 PM to 1:30 PM at the Long Island National Cemetery (2040 Wellwood Ave, Farmingdale, NY 11735).
In lieu of flowers, donations may be made in Edward's name to St. Vincent de Paul and St. Jude Children's Research Hospital.
